Advancing e-Learning Research in the Arab World

Established under the name of Elliott Masie, a globally recognized futurist, analyst, and researcher in workforce learning and emerging technologies, this grant supports projects that enrich e-learning research within the Arab context. Elliott Masie leads The MASIE Center think tank and The Learning CONSORTIUM, a coalition of global organizations exploring innovative learning strategies. The grant provides USD 3,000 – 10,000 annually, supporting impactful projects that push forward the evolution of e-learning across the region. 

How to Submit?

  • Open to research projects conducted within the Arab World addressing region-specific e-learning issues.
  • Projects must be original, not previously initiated, and capable of completion within two years.
  • Topics may include qualitative/quantitative studies or best practice case studies related to any dimension of e-learning. 

Applications must include:

  • Information page with researcher(s) details, designation, organization, and justification for proposal consideration.
  • Research proposal (max. 10 single-spaced A4 pages, 12pt font, excluding references) following the Research Proposal Format, submitted in MS Word.
  • Proposed budget and timeline, with activities, milestones, and measurable indicators.
  • Updated CV(s) of researcher(s).
  • Non-objection letter from the researcher’s institution. 

Funding ranges between USD 3,000 – 10,000 annually. Research is expected to be completed within a maximum of two years. Submissions are reviewed competitively, and winners are formally recognized by HBMSU.
